Jasmine was born sometime late April or early May of 2002. She was found as a stray somewhere in Washington County (Oregon) and brought to the Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter in Hillsboro Oregon. We adopted her in mid-June, 2002. The staff at the animal shelter thought that she was eight weeks old... ...but a trip to the vet's office a few days later pretty much proved she was only six (or maybe seven) weeks old at adoption time. As many animals do, she went through an adjustment phased during her first few weeks here. She spent a lot of time calling out for her littermates... to no avail. She does not get along well with other cats, dogs or (as far as we know) any other animal of any kind. We think this is partly due to the fact that we adopted her at such a young age. Jasmine does (typically) like most people who come to visit. Okay, she puts up with most people who enter her lair... She has grown quite a bit since we adopted her in June, 2002: 06/14/02   ->   1 lb 07/26/02   ->   2.75 lb 08/14/02   ->   3.5 lb 01/25/03   ->   9.8 lb 08/07/03   ->   9.5 lb Jasmine is an indoor-only cat (at least for the time being). She has full reign over the house (except for the painting-in-progress areas), and especially enjoys sitting on windowsills, and any other place she can find that is up high.
